Programa cultural

Nuestro programa cultural

walk through Fasanenstraße
Localización: Meeting point in front of the office

Our walk takes us from Zoo station to the lower end of Fasanenstraße, one of the chicest corners of West Berlin's city centre. Topics include the student protests of 1967/68, Berlin's building history in the past and future, and the golden twenties, when Josephine Baker performed here with her banana dance.

walk through Bergmannstraße
Localización: Meeting point in front of the office

On the field in front of the Halleschen Tor, where the historical Berlin ended, there was a mountain. From up there you had a wonderful view of the residential city of Berlin. Today it is called Kreuzberg and on top of it stands a patriotic monument commemorating the war against Napoléon. On the walk we learn a lot about Kreuzberg, historical and current, scandalous and revolutionary-rebellious, to finally get to Bergmannstraße, one of the coolest streets in Berlin, where life pulsates and where Berlin is so undestroyed as otherwise only in Prenzlauer Berg.

gallery tour
Localización: Meeting point in front of the office

The Berlin artist scene presents itself particularly interesting and wild around the Oranienburger Tor (Spandauer Vorstadt). There are many chic and quirky galleries that are worth looking at. We will take a walk to the different galleries and learn some interesting details about the history of the "Spandauer Vorstadt".

Cost: BVG ticket

field trip to Quedlinburg
Localización: Please register in advance at the office

Quedlinburg is certainly one of the most beautiful northeastern German cities, with more than 1,500 half-timbered houses in narrow alleys, a castle hill with a real Romanesque cathedral and a flair like in a good old Grimm fairy tale. The first German king was presented with his crown here while he was squatting in the forest catching birds.

Cost: 15 euros for the small half-timbered museum // Please bring your own 9-euro ticket!

walk from Kotti to Kreuzkölln
Localización: Meeting point in front of the office

The Admiralsbrücke in Kreuzberg is one of the hippest places in Berlin today. People meet, drink a beer and look into the sunset over the Urbanhafen. This used to be the port of Berlin, today people stroll along the water. We explore the area around Urbanhafen and Admiralsbrücke, where the unsightly Berlin of the 70s meets romantic old buildings with Japanese-style backyards. We hear about squatters, street fights and Berlin hit songs. Finally we get to the Ankerklause and the Maibach-Ufer, where the new cool Kreuzkölln begins.

german resistance memorial center
Localización: Meeting point in front of the office

In this documentary we actively learn about the resistance against National Socialism. The memorial shows how individuals and groups resisted the National Socialist dictatorship in the years 1933 to 1945.

Cost: BVG ticket

walk through Unter den Linden
Localización: Meeting point in front of the office

From the construction site of the new U5 at Friedrichstraße we go to the City Palace, past the construction site of the Opera House. We review 300 years of Berlin history and discover interesting and juicy details about the German capital and take a look at how everything will turn out.

ways into jewish Berlin/Otto Weidt museum
Localización: Meeting point in front of the office

Brush maker Otto Weidt hid Jews from the Nazis in his workshop for the blind and prevented the Nazis from deporting Jews to concentration camps. In this way, the brave Otto Weidt saved the lives of many Jews. In the Otto Weidt Museum we will see his brush workshop with the old workplaces and the hiding place. Afterwards, on a walking tour, we will look for the places, houses and squares where the Jews lived and from where they were deported.

Cost: BVG ticket

national representations and embassies
Localización: Meeting point in front of the office

How do the individual federal states and the countries of the world present themselves in Berlin? What are the tasks of the embassies and state representations? What can be seen in the architectural design language? We walk to the Nordic embassies, Mexico, Japan etc.. In between there are some small architectural masterpieces to look at, e.g. the state representations. Anja explains the federal system of the Federal Republic of Germany and the tasks of the state representations.
