Speaking languages
Speaking languages has been our guiding principle and our passion since 1984. Therefore, we not only offer German courses but also foreign language courses including English, Italian and Spanish. Additionally, we are a certified Telc examination center and conduct weekly Telc examinations for different levels.
Find your suitable language course
The statement “You can only learn to speak by talking” forms the basis of our language courses. We offer conversation-oriented German courses in levels A1, A2, B1, B2, C1 and C2. From the very first class, our students are encouraged to speak, thus, acquiring language skills in a communicative and interactive way. In English we would say “learning by doing”. The same principle is applied in the Spanish, English and Italian classes.

Our services: free online language tests
Our courses and Telc exams are structured according to the levels. It is therefore important that you book the level that is right for you in order to achieve the best possible results and learning success.
To help you assess your language level, we have created our free online language placement test for German, English, Italian and Spanish.
Depending on your previous knowledge, the test takes 10-20 minutes and you receive the result immediately after completing the placement test.

Apply for a language visa with our German intensive course
To obtain a language visa, you must submit the application for the visa in person to the diplomatic mission at your country of resisdence before entering the Germany. The visa process takes up to three months, therefore, plan accordingly. One oft he requirements fort he issuance oft he language visa is a confirmation of registration which must consist of at least 18 lessons per week. If the course consists of fewer hours per week or you do not provide an official registration confirmation from a language school, your application will be rejected. Our German intensive course, which you can register for online, meets these prescribed visa conditions.

Use educational leave to improve your language skills
In most German federal states, employees are entitled to five days of educational leave per year. The entitlement from the previous year can be carried over to the following year, so that you then have ten working days at a time. The educational leave is meant for professional and political further trainings and is not counted as regular vacation leave days. Therefore, upon request, you are granted time off which you can also use Please find out in advance which conditions apply to your federal state.
Use language courses as educational leave
You're going on vacation to Italy and you want to be able to speak more words than "ciao" and "grazie"? Could your English skills be refreshed and deepened? Have you always wanted to speak Spanish? Use your educational leave to improve your language skills and take part in our intensive courses. You have the opportunity to take courses in English, Italian and Spanish.
How to register
Register for the desired course online or in our school office. You will receive a confirmation of registration for educational leave from our language school together with our regular registration confirmation. You forward this document to your employer and apply for educational leave.
According to the Educational Leave Act, you should apply for educational leave to your employer six weeks before the start of your course. Your employer must decide whether to grant educational leave two weeks before the start of the course. Therefore, at our language school you have the opportunity to cancel your course free of charge up to two weeks before the start if you are refused educational leave. At the end of your course, you will receive a certificate from us confirming your participation in educational leave to your employer.

Ich habe einen C1 Intensiv-Sprachkurs Englisch mit Martin und Nuala absolviert und das hat mir richtig Spaß gemacht. Ich habe viel gelernt und ich wurde durch spannende Themen, die wir in der Gruppe diskutiert haben, gefordert. Wir haben viel gesprochen, das finde ich am wichtigsten beim Sprache lernen. Ich kann die Neue Schule sehr empfehlen, weil die Kurse mit vier Leuten, also oft klein sind. In der zweiten Woche waren wir sogar nur zu zweit. Alle Daumen hoch!!!

Our teacher Eva was a perfect match for me because she is a very well-prepared teacher who structured the lessons with a variety of activities. She even noted our mistakes and prepared lessons focusing on eliminating these mistakes. She is one of the best teachers I have ever seen. Moreover, the office staff at Die Neue Schule, including the administrative staff, is wonderful and very friendly. They solve any problems on behalf of the students and teachers even before they realize it.
